We need to get a rough estimate of how many people will be attending the June camping trip so we can reserve the right number of campsites. Please take 30 seconds to fill out the form at the link below. Even if you know you will not be attending please respond via the link below so we have a clear count of who is not going. This is a non-binding show of hands to see who is interested.

Registration for the 2015 Math Science Technology Merit Badge Expo openned Saturday November 29th. Information on how to register can be found at this link or by clicking on the logo to the left. This is a great opportunity for scouts to earn merit badges that are not frequently offered through the troop. The merit badge expo is run on two Saturdays in March - the 14th and the 28th. The first Saturday is the career fair and merit badge sessions and the second Saturday is for field trips.
While there are over 35 different merit badges offered space is limited. The available merit badge sessions fill up very rapidly. You need to signup early to get you first choice of merit badges.
This week's meeting will be focused on rank advancement. All scouts should plan on bringing their Scout Handbook to the meeting.
Scouts are responsible for their advancement. The Troop makes opportunities available to work on advancement but if scouts do not bring their handbook there is no way of knowing what they need to work on. A scout should always bring their handbook to Troop meetings and also have looked at the book to know what they need to work on - the requirements are listed in the back of the handbook.
Also, be kind to your book - put it in a large zip-lock bag so it is protected from the weather and other hazards when you are not using it!
All scouts need to submit an updated annual medical form. These forms are due June 14th and should be submitted to Mr. Barnard.
If you are going to SeaBase you will need to fill out out this form containing parts A, B, and C and the SeaBase risk advisory. A Dr's signature is required on part C. This is also good for summer camp. Please turn in a copy of the form to Mr. Cutbill for SeaBase.
If you are going to summer camp you will need to fill out this form containing parts A, B, and C. A Dr's signature is required on part C.
If you are not going to Summer camp you can use this form containing parts A and B only. No Dr's signature is required
Thank you for a great Court of Honor last week. As a reminder the Court signals the end to our regular weekly troop meeting for the year. Weekly meetings will start up again in September when school starts again.
Just a reminder that if you purchased food for a trip or have other expenses that you paid on behalf of the troop you can submit an expense reimbursement request. The cost of food for trips is factored into the amount that all scouts pay to attend trips and it is planned that the grubmaster expenses will be reimbursed. In order to finalize the accounting on trips we ask that all expenses be submitted in a timely fashion, preferably within 30 days of the completion of the trip. If you have any questions please speak to the Treasurer at the next troop meeting.
Hello Scouts! Just a friendly reminder that scouts should bring their handbooks with them to Troop meetings. In addition to being agreat resource for material when working on activities they also alows you to get requirements signed off and track advancement.
