This week's meeting will be focused on rank advancement.  All scouts should plan on bringing their Scout Handbook to the meeting.

Scouts are responsible for their advancement.  The Troop makes opportunities available to work on advancement but if scouts do not bring their handbook there is no way of knowing what they need to work on.  A scout should always bring their handbook to Troop meetings and also have looked at the book to know what they need to work on - the requirements are listed in the back of the handbook.

Also, be kind to your book - put it in a large zip-lock bag so it is protected from the weather and other hazards when you are not using it!

Trip Information Pats Peak Skiing/Boarding Day Trip Feb 12

Outing: Skiing/Snow Boarding Trip at Pats Peak Ski Area Henniker, NH 03242

Arrive: Saturday, February 12, 2022, 8:30 AM at Pats Peak Directions Pats Peak – further directions on where to meet up to be provided later

Depart: Saturday February 12, 2022 at approximately 5:00 PM or when done skiing and ride is available.

Skiing/Snow Boarding options:

• Ski or snowboard lift ticket: $60 (Adult 18-64), $50 (Junior 6-17)
• Lift and Rental: $90 (Adult 18-64), $80 (Junior 6-17)
• Lift and Rental and Group Lesson: $125 (Adult 18-64), $120 (Junior 6-17)
• Helmet Rental: $10

All scouts and leaders must wear helmets while skiing or snow boarding. If you do not have one please arrange to rent one.

 Signups are due by Saturday February 5th

Along with completing the signup, attendees should print and complete the following: rental forms, skiing/snowboarding options and payments, and liability waiver form.

 Nobscot Scout Reservation Site Hike and Trail Cooking 

Being outside is always exciting and fun even in cold weather.  However, It does require the proper gear and training.

This January 22, Troop 437 will return to the Nobscot Scout Reservation in Sudbury / Framingham for a site hike and to learn trailside cooking.  We will arrive at Nobscot on Saturday, January 22 at 10 AM and arrange for a hike of the site.   Plan to be there as late as 4 PM, although we may finish earlier.  Scouts should be prepared for non-overnight backpack camping with trailside cooking gear.

Meal planning and a winter hiking discussion will be part of the Jan 14th Troop meeting

We will have our next Merit Badge Monday next Monday, the 24th of January.   We will Zoom into a Virtual Merit Badge Monday from 7 pm to 8:30 pm.

This Monday we are continuing the badges that were started on the 10th.  All scouts who started a badge on the 10th should plan on attending to continue the badges.
