Are you an Arrow of Light scout looking for a Scout Troop to cross over to? or maybe you are new to Scouting and want a great Troop to join?

Either way, Troop 437 welcomes all youth to come and experience the adventure of scouting! Visit one of our meetings to experience what Scouting is all about and what makes Troop 437 a great Scout Troop.

We meet every Thursday evening when school is in session. Meetings start at 7:00 pm at the American Legion Post 437 at 114 Dunstable Road. Register Now for Merit Badge Monday on 10/28

Signups are open now for Merit Badge Monday this coming Monday, October 28, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the McKeen's house.

We may add additional Merit Badges so please check the form again over the next few days.

New sessions include:
Sustainability
Personal Management
Personal Fitness

A check-in session for Cooking will be held for Scouts who have already started this badge.

There is also a field where you can enter a request for other badges.

Register for your preferred session on the signup form.

We are planning to have Merit Badge Monday sessions on November 18 and December 16. Confirmed dates will be announced at the Troop meeting and in the weekly Troop E-Blast.

Troop 437 Open House for Arrow of Light Cub Scouts and Teens Age 11-17 October 24

Do you have an Arrow of Light Cub Scout? Does your teen (age 11-17) love outdoor activities like camping, hiking, and rafting? Troop 437 invites you to our Open House on Thursday, October 24, to learn more about our troop and Scouting!

Troop 437 is a medium-sized troop with boys and girls from Westford, Chelmsford and Bedford. We meet on Thursday evenings during the school year to learn new skills and enjoy fun activities. Meetings and activities are scout-led and the focus is on learning both leadership and practical skills. Scouts also enjoy optional monthly overnight camping, hiking and adventure trips. Many 437 Scouts have earned the well-respected Eagle Scout rank.

To learn more, visit Troop 437's Open House on Thursday October 24 from 7-8:30 PM at the American Legion, 114 Dunstable Rd., Westford.

Troop 437 will also be hosting a Camp Day on Saturday, November 16, at Camp Resolute in Bolton MA where AOL Cub Scouts and interested teens can meet our Scouts and enjoy Scout activities and food. More information will be posted soon!

Fall Court of Honor Oct 17th - All Scouts and Parents invited to attend

Our Fall Troop Court of Honor is Thursday evening Oct 17th at 7:00 in the Legion Hall. For those new to the Troop, a Court of Honor is where we recognize all the achievements that the scouts have completed since the last Court. In this case, we will be recognizing all the achievements since the beginning of the summer.

All scouts should attend in full uniform. Scouts should arrive around 6:50 to help with setup.

Parents are invited and encouraged to attend to be present during the awards ceremony. Refreshments will be served after the Court to celebrate the achievements.

Return: Approximately 11 AM Sunday, October 20, 2024

Cost: $65.00 – High ropes (Boundless Adventures), camping, and meals.

or $15 for non-climbers - camping and meals

This week is a very important Troop meeting. Scouts will be electing new Senior Patrol Leaders and Patrol leaders. Please plan on attending to participate in the election process!

Merit Badge Mondays Starting September 30

A limited selection of Merit Badge sessions will be offered on select Mondays, starting this Monday, September 30.

Merit Badge Mondays start at 7:00 PM and take place at the McKeen's house, 29 Steeple Chase Circle, Westford.

Family Life badge with Mrs. McKeen
Citizenship in the Community badge with Mr. McKeen

October 21

Personal Management badge with Mrs. McKeen
Mr. McKeen will run another Eagle-required badge

November 18
December 16
January 13

Other badges that we may offer include Personal Fitness, Cooking, and Photography. To sign up for any of these sessions, please email Mrs. Evangelista at bevangelista1@gmail.com ASAP and provide the name of the Scout, the date they will attend, and the name of the badge. Please also include any other badges that they are interested in.
