Saturday, June 14th is Flag Day!  The Troop will participate in the American Legion Post's Flag retirement ceremony.    The ceremony starts at 6:00 pm and should be done by 7:00 pm.  Scouts are asked to arrive by 5:30 pm to prepare.

Scouts should wear their full Scout uniform. This is a big event.

Past Flag Day ceremonies have included the Westford Police Department's honor guard and Fire Department pipes and drums corps.  With two ladder trucks from Tyngsboro and Westford, suspend the large garrison flag.  State Rep. Scouting 101: What is the Order of the Arrow

Posted on May 21 2025 - 4:25pm

The Order of the Arrow (OA) is Scouting's National Honor Society, recognizing Scouts who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives. It is a brotherhood of cheerful service, focused on promoting camping, developing leadership skills, and providing selfless service to their troops, councils, camps, and communities. Election to the Order of the Arrow is by their peers in the Troop, acknowledging their demonstrated commitment to the ideals of Scouting. Participation in the OA offers Scouts unique opportunities for advanced leadership training, engaging in meaningful service projects, building lasting friendships with like-minded Scouts from across the council, and deepening their overall Scouting experience.

Once elected to the Order of the Arrow by their peers, candidates need to complete a designated camping and service weekend with the Order to become a full member.  For more membership information, please see: Membership | Order of the Arrow
