Are you an Arrow of Light scout looking for a Scout Troop to cross over to?  or maybe you are new to Scouting and want a great Troop to join?

 
Either way, Troop 437 welcomes all youth to come and experience the adventure of scouting!  Visit one of our meetings to experience what Scouting is all about and what makes Troop 437 a great Scout Troop.

Troop 437 Sponsoring Wilderness First Aid training - space is available

Troop 437 is sponsoring a SOLO Wilderness First Aid course on September 19th and 20th.  In order to cunduct safe outdoor excursions and high adventure trips the troop needs adults certified in wilderness first aid.  In addition all adult leaders, parents and scouts 14 and over are invited to participate in the training.  The cost is $130 per person and the course is a full two days.  This is being held at the Legion Post 437 Hall.

Where: American Legion Post 437, 114 Dunstable Rd, Westford MA, 01886

Who: Open to the public, but intended for Boy Scout Leaders, parents and/or Boy Scouts ages 14 and up.

Price: $130 per person.  Breakfast and Lunch will be provided both days.

Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge Sessions Starting Up

Mr. Carpenter will be starting Emergency Preparedness merit badge sessions soon.  Please contact Mr. Carpenter if you are interested in earning the badge.

Emergency Preparedness is an Eagle required merit badge as an alternative to Lifesaving.

9/11 Flag Ceremony and remembrance

Troop 437 will be conducting a 9/11 Flag Ceremony and remembrance ceremony at Willow Manor in Lowell.  

The Troop will be helping the Willow Manor nursing home do a remembrance to honor the day and a recognition of the residents that have served our country with a certificate from the nursing home.  Scouts will completing a flag ceremony and present the certificates.

Reminder - no Troop meeting this week - weekly meetings finished for this scout/school year

Thank you for a great Court of Honor last week.  As a reminder the Court signals the end to our regular weekly troop meeting for the year.  Weekly meetings will start up again in September when school starts again.

Canoe Trip prep meeting - meal planning and swim tests - Monday Evening June 22nd - Forge Pond Beach

We will be having a meeting to prepare for the upcoming canoe trip on Monday June 22nd at Forge Pond Beach.  The meeting will begin at 7:00pm

All Canoe Trip participants should plan on attending to conduct meal planning and trip overview.

Swim tests will be held for any scouts and adults needing to comeplete the required BSA Swim test.

Please let the scoutmaster know if you have any questions.
