This Thursday will be Troop 437's annual Spring Court of Honor. For scouts and parents new to the troop, the Court of Honor is a ceremony to recognize scouts who have earned ranks and badges this spring. Families of scouts are encouraged to attend. Scouts should arrive 15 minutes early to set up. Would the patrols please bring the following:
We are cautiously optimistic that some form of summer camp will be possible this year. However, we are waiting to hear from our Council about what will be available. If we are able to choose, we will be looking to schedule camp for the 3rd or 4th full week of July. We know that many families are making other summer plans so we will let you know as soon as possible what the Troop's summer camp plans end up being.
Final payments for summer camp are due tonight. There is still time to signup - If you have been sitting on the fence and want to go to camp bring your signup form and payment tonight!!! Signups can happen later but the fee will be higher as the council will be imposing a late payment fee.

Please return a copy indicating if your Scout will/won’t be attending camp for our records. We are looking to receive a response from every scout!
If your Scout will be attending camp, here is the simple timetable and cost covered in the form:
Camp Week is July 29th – August 4th.
Discounted camp fee is $410.00.
Registration form and $50.00 deposit due by Thursday, March 22nd.
Remaining balance of $360.00 due by May 3rd.
BSA Medical forms due by June 14th.

Summer is fast approaching and it is time to start thinking abut summer camp!
Troop Week is Sunday, July 30 through Saturday, August 5. Camp fee for the week with early deposit is $386. Our payment schedule is as follows:
2017 Crossover Scouts only - Please pay the $386 payment by Thursday, May 18th, no early deposit required.
Returning Scouts - $50 deposit per Scout is due to the Troop by Thursday, March 23rd. The remaining $336 is due by Thursday, May 18th. Note for Returning Scouts only – If you do not pay the early deposit and wish to attend camp, the full fee will be $445.00, so please take advantage of the early discount.
Please make checks payable to “Troop 437”. This is not refundable but is transferable if another Scout is available to take your place.

Something new this year: Every Scout attending camp will receive the New England Adventure Card from the Spirit of Adventure Council.
The card provides each Scout a discounted camp rate as well as discounts for other Council activities and access to other Council resources.
Please include an e-mail address and phone number to be used for the card registration of your Scout.
We have received confirmation from Yankeen Clipper Council that our Troop summer camp week at Wah-Tut-Ca for 2015 will be July 26th - August 1st. We will once again be staying in the Med Bow camp site.
