This is an awesome national class Scout Jamboree right in our back yard! It will be a fun-filled two days that will be long remembered. All Scouts should plan on attending!
Outing: SOAR – Christian Herter Park, 1175 Soldiers Field Road, Boston
Arrive: 9 am October 8, 2016 at Alewife Station. Transfer Bus / shuttle to campground
Depart: 10:00am on Monday, October 13th, 2014

This trip will be a two-night camping trip to attend SOAR on the Charles River in Boston. Saturday morning we will travel to Alewife station, meet up, and then transfer by bus over to the campsite at CH Park. There will be a variety of activities to do (see attachment) with more details to come.
Scouts and leaders are encouraged to pack in a way that shuttling on a bus will be convenient – ie well packed back packs.
Our annual Bike and Sporting Goods sale is the Troop's biggest fund raiser. It is only possible through lots of work by Troop members. All scouts are asked to attend to help out. We also need adults to help out. We need Troop members to come out Friday evening and Saturday during the day to help run the event.
Friday evening we are collecting items for the sale the the Legion Hall. Saturday is more collection time and the actul sale. Saturday's events are held on the Westford Common.

Troop 437 is always looking for opportunity to give back to our community and help those who can use a helping hand. We are creating a Remind communication list to help communicate opportunities when they arise that Scouts can help on. The Troops first "Good Turn" endeavor is to help Mr and Mrs Bruno with snow shoveling this year. Mr Bruno is a Veteran, a life long scouter, and the Troop's charter organization representative. He has contributed countless hours towards the success of the Troop, the American Legion Post, and the larger scouting community. We will be sending messages to the Remind list soliciting volunteers when there is shoveling to be done. For most snow storms it should only take a couple of volunteers and if we share the work over the winter it should be easy to accomplish and will be a big help to Mr and Mrs Bruno.
