Are you an Arrow of Light scout looking for a Scout Troop to cross over to?  or maybe you are new to Scouting and want a great Troop to join?

 
Either way, Troop 437 welcomes all youth to come and experience the adventure of scouting!  Visit one of our meetings to experience what Scouting is all about and what makes Troop 437 a great Scout Troop.
 
We meet every Thursday evening when school is in session.  Meetings start at 7:00 pm at the American Legion Post 437 at 114 Dunstable Road.  Feel free to contact us at info@westfordtroop437.us and let us know you are coming or to contact us with any questions.  For more information about the troop, you can start at our About Us webpage.

Seabase Update - Tall Ship sailing in the Florida Keys - two spots available

Great News!  The troop has received the results of the 2013 SeaBase lottery and we now know the time and type of adventure we will be going on.  We will be crewing a tall ship in the Florida Keys!  The trip is called the Sea Exploring Adventure (click link for more details) and our adventure dates are 7/3/2013 - 7/10/2013.  We have 18 participants signed up and deposits have been sent to Seabase to secure the reservation.  The next payment, estimated to be $350, will be due in early September.
 
Due to the nature of the adventure we will be going on we have room for 2 more participants!   If you want to attend but missed out during the earlier sign-ups please contact the Scoutmaster.  Current scouts  will be given priority but troop alumni and parents will also be considers to fill these spots.  Participants must be 14 at the time of the trip.  Full details of the trip can be found on the web site.

The troop will be honoring our newest Eagle Scout with an Eagle Court of Honor on March 25th.  All troop members and friends should have received an invitation in the mail.  If you have not already done so please take a moment to RSVP.

March Ski Trip sign-ups due this week

The March outing is a ski trip to Sugarbush Resort in Vermont.  Information about the outing and the sign-up/permission slip can be found here.  Please print and return the permission slip to this week's troop meeting (3/8).

Merit Badge College - Day 1 coming up on March 10th - Please to remember to get your Blue Cards signed

If you are participating in Merit Badge College on March 10th and 24th please remember that you need to get your Blue Cards signed by the Scoutmaster prior to the March 10th session.

Please return troop gear to this week's troop meeting

Please return any troop gear you have (from the freeze-out or other events) to this week's troop meeting so it can be restocked in the shed.  Please make sure all equipment comes back clean and ready to be used for the next trip.

Disabilities Awareness merit badge being offered

Mrs. Ghatraju will be starting up a session of the Disabilities Awaremness merit badge.  If you are interested in working on this badge please talk to the Scoutmaster at the troop meeting.
