Either way, Troop 437 welcomes all youth to come and experience the adventure of scouting!  Visit one of our meetings to experience what Scouting is all about and what makes Troop 437 a great Scout Troop.

We meet every Thursday evening when school is in session.  Meetings start at 7:00 pm at the American Legion Post 437 at 114 Dunstable Road.  Feel free to contact us at info@westfordtroop437.us and let us know you are coming or to contact us with any questions.  For more information about the troop, you can start at our About Us webpage.

Sailing Trip sign-ups due at this week's troop meeting

Posted on May 30 2012 - 9:43pm

The June trip will be a sailing trip with the Gundalow Company in Portsmouth (http://www.gundalow.org/).  Our 4 hour sail on a tidal river will be filled with hands-on activities such as setting the sail, hauling lines, navigating the river, testing water quality, tying knots, and singing sea chanteys.

Any Scout can attend this trip but space is limited to 30 due to the size of the boat.  4 spots need to be adults – the remaining 26 spots will be allocated to scouts on a first come basis.  If spots remain open once sign-ups are closed then additional adults can sign-up.  Adults and Scouts wanting to camp out on Saturday but no participating in the sailing may do so for $20.  Additional adults will be needed to transport scouts from the camping site to the sailing location.

Call for Memorial Day Volunteers

Posted on May 16 2012 - 10:19pm
The Memorial Day coordinators need scouts to participate in reading the Honor Roll at this year's Memorial Day celebration on Sunday, May 27. The scouts have always been a big part of the Memorial Day celebration.  Volunteers read a page of names (approx 50 names per page).   If you are not shy about reading from a podium or into a microphone, this is a great opportunity for you.

If you're willing to participate, please send an email to westfordromano@hotmail.com.  Parents are certainly welcome to participate as well.  Volunteers should be at least 11 years of age or older.

  • Calendar synchronization - if you use a smart phone or web calendar service you can synchronize with the troop calendar and have the troop events appear in your personal calendar
  • On-line event signup - We are going to start testing on-line event signups as a mechanism to simplify signing up for troop outings.
  • Ability to contribute content to the web site
When you sign-in to the web site for the first time you can change your password by selecting "My Profile" from the uppder left hand "user" box and then selecting the "edit" tab.  If you already use your web site account you will have to reset your password.
