The Troop will be holding a Winter swimming event on Sunday, January 20th.  The event will be at the Nashua YMCA and will be a great opportunity for scouts to have some fun in the water and to also practice their swimming in preparation for the Spring Kayak trip and the Seabase trip in July.  There will be opportunity for scouts who have not completed the BSA swim test to do so at the swimming event.

Scouts attending this weekend's Eagle Court of Honor are asked to arrive at 6:30pm to help setup and prepare for the ceremony.

The troop is now accepting sign-ups for our 2014 Philmont high adventure trip.  The trip size is limited.  If you are signing up please remember that to secure your spot you need to submit both the completed sign-up form and the $100 deposit.

Calling all parents!  We are looking for adults to help bring merit badge opportunities to our scouts.  Merit Badge Counselors are adults who have professions, hobbies, life experiences, or simply passions in one or more of over 130 merit badge subjects.  To be a counselor you need to attend a short merit badge counselor training session which is what we are offering on the 20th - mostly focused on the paperwork associated with merit badges.  In addition counselors have to fill out a new CORI form.

We will have copies of the the needed forms at the training session but please bring a copy of a photo ID to submit with a new CORI form.  You may also want to spend a little time looking over the merit badges to see which ones you may want to counsel.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact the scoutmaster.
