Welcome to Troop 437! Proudly sponsored by American Legion post 437 in Westford Massachusetts.

Are you an Arrow of Light scout looking for a Scout Troop to cross over to?  or maybe you are new to Scouting and want a great Troop to join?

Either way, Troop 437 welcomes all youth to come and experience the adventure of scouting!  Visit one of our meetings to experience what Scouting is all about and what makes Troop 437 a great Scout Troop.

We meet every Thursday evening when school is in session.  Meetings start at 7:00 pm at the American Legion Post 437 at 114 Dunstable Road.  Feel free to contact us at info@westfordtroop437.us and let us know you are coming or to contact us with any questions.  For more information about the troop, you can start at our About Us webpage.

2024 Summer Camp at Camp Wanocksett

Bike sale this weekend! Need more volunteers to sign up to help on Friday and Saturday

Posted on Apr 23 2013 - 9:54pm
The banner is up, the billboard signs are around town, the announcements are in the paper - and the weather looks great!  The 3rd annual Troop 437 Bike and Sporting goods sale is THIS WEEKEND!

We are short of people signed up to handle Consignors and Donors both Friday night (5:30-8:00) and Saturday early morning (6:30-10:00).  Please consider signing up to help us out during these critical times.

If we don't have enough scouts and adults to handle the incoming merchandise, we won't have the stuff ready to sell at 9am. And we want people to feel that it's easy and quick to drop stuff off.

Signup sheets will be available this week  for the Bike sale weekend.  We need donation coordinators, consignment agents, sales people, check out people, bike prep people, and setup/take down people.  Please sign up for as much as you can.

We also need people to sign up to bring shade canopies, folding tables, and air compressors.

April Cape Cod Bicycle trip - Will we be riding? That is the question...

Posted on Apr 3 2013 - 2:38pm

and the answer is...we will decide by the meeting on Thursday.  The current forecast indicates the tempratures will be too low to hold a bike ride on Saturday - if that forecast holds then we will cancel the bike ride and instead plan a different set of activities that are more appropriate for the weather.  In any event we will still be camping out at Camp Grenough.  Look for mail during the day on Thursday.

Are you in need of patches or other uniform elements?

Posted on Mar 26 2013 - 7:36pm

Scoutmaster McKeen makes fairly frequent trips to the scout shop.  If you are in need of a particular patch for your uniform you can let him know and he will pick them up the next time he is there.

The 437 unit numbers, patrol, and quality unit patches are provided by the troop.  The world crest and council patch are bought from the scout shop.  Rank and position patches are presented at Courts of Honor.  If you need replacements please talk to the Scoutmaster or the Advancement Chair.
