Final notes before the Sports Sale

Posted on Jun 1 2011 - 9:58pm

A few final notes before our first Spring/Summer Sporting Goods Sale:

Troop "Sneak Preview" Sale: Anyone working the sale on Friday night and/or Saturday morning is free to purchase any incoming item without waiting for the public sale.  For any other troop member who wants to get a jump on the public buyers, just show up at 10am instead of 11am and have fun shopping!

Keeping our strength up: Snacks will be provided throughout the sale for the workers.  Coffee will be provided for the early Saturday morning adults.  If you will be working the sale over the lunch hour, please bring a lunch.  We will need to eat lunch in shifts to ensure that we have enough people working at all times.  We will have bug juice available, but a water bottle might also help keep everyone hydrated.

Uniform: Boys, please wear your Class B polo shirt.  Adults, if you have a navy T-shirt to wear, that would be nice.  If not, anything is fine.

Impressions: Remember, when we conduct ourselves with confidence, courtesy, and a cheerful attitude, we will leave people with a great impression whether they buy something or not.  Your behavior will be the best advertisement we have for recruiting new scouts next year. People will remember that troop with such helpful boys who did such a great job running the summer sports sale.
