Flag Day Ceremony Wednesday June 14th - 5:30 pm report time

Posted on Jun 7 2023 - 10:45am

Wednesday, June 14th is Flag day!  The Troop will participate in the American Legion Post's Flag retirement ceremony.    The ceremony starts at 6:00 pm and should be done by 7:00 pm.  Scouts are asked to arrive by 5:30 pm to prepare.

Scouts should wear their full Scout uniform. This is a big event.

Past Flag day ceremonies have included the Westford Police Dept. honor guard and Fire department pipes and drums core.  Along with two ladder trucks from Tyngsboro and Westford, suspend the large garrison flag.  State Rep. Jim Arciero and other dignitaries attend.  The Scouts play a significant role in this ceremony so everyone is encouraged to attend.  Family and friends are also invited to attend.
